Process and scope
1.Review the scope performed
We read the remediation scope so verification is measured against what was supposed to be done.
2.Visual and moisture assessment
The work area is examined for visible growth, dust, debris and settled material, with moisture readings on remaining materials.
3.Clearance sampling
Air or surface samples are collected inside the work area with comparison samples as appropriate.
4.Verification report
Findings state the conditions documented at that time and whether they met the criteria discussed in advance.
Preparation and access
- Keep containment in place until verification is completed
- Provide the remediation scope and contractor documentation
- Ensure the area has been cleaned and is accessible for review

Yes, wherever possible. Once containment is removed, conditions in the work area are no longer isolated and the documentation means less.
Can you verify work you did not inspect beforehand?
Yes, though having pre-work documentation makes the comparison stronger. We will note what baseline information was available.
